Children are a meaningful part of worship at Kailua Christian Church. On the 2nd–5th Sundays, children are dismissed about 10–15 minutes into the service to King’s Company, our upstairs children’s program. On the 1st Sunday of the month, we celebrate Communion together, and children remain in the sanctuary with their families.
Kids are encouraged to participate in the opening portion of worship by helping with music, scripture, or lighting candles, so they feel fully included in congregational life. We offer a play area in the back of the sanctuary, as well as a nearby break room with a live-streamed service, fidget toys, and space for nursing parents. Deacons and a Children’s Coordinator are present to support families as needed.
King’s Company uses the Orange curriculum, focusing on monthly themes like patience, belonging, and compassion through Bible stories and hands-on activities. As a small, relational church, our children’s ministry is designed to help kids build meaningful connections with one another and with the wider church community.
